The neighbouring village of Santana da Serra is hosting the 10th edition of the Feira de Saberes & Sabores da Serra on 28 and 29 May.
This "Fair of Knowledge and Tastes" is essentially an exhibition of regional products of animal origin (predominance of black pork - porco preta) and sweets. In addition there is a cultural component such as traditional music of the Alentejo mixed with other forms of artistic expression such as this year's demonstration of ballroom dancing and entertainment presented by young accordian performers with a proven record in national and international championships.
Besides all of this, there will be excellent food served in the fair´s pubs, where you can spend the afternoon and evening in the company of family or friends.
